Grow and accumulate the potential for alieviating stress at any moment, like a vessel of water with the ability to quench your thirst whenever you wish, while striving for unconditional release.
Force (craving, grasping, pushing, clinging, desire, aversion, etc.) appears to be the the exclusive condition for stress. Without force, it appears, there is no stress.
The the dysfunctional mind clings, pushes, and pulls, causing stress. The mind should be purified so as to never apply force ever again.
And as the mind is purified, grow and maintain the conditions for its satisfaction, both in case liberation is never acheied, and also to ensure the integrity of the system. Bad experiences are not only stressful do to the dysfunction, but likey exacerbate the dysfunction to begin with, throwing us off course.

Satisfaction thereof attenuates stress, Maximize satisfaction.

Develop it simultaneously with the current incarnation, so that it is ready to manfifest at the death of the current.
The Essential Qualities
The auxilliary aims which at must inevitably characterize each existence until the goal is attained: knowledge, power, and attainment.
Indulgence Ration
The great forces of desire lead one astry and into destruction. Until the goal is reached, there is a limit to the capacity for resistence. Appease the forces as needed with heedful restraint. Keep things at bay without going overboard.
